I am interested in nursing my son when he is born this October. I have a daughter who will be almost 2 and I know it will be tough so I wanted to try to nurse him in a carrier when I needed to make it easier. Anyone have any suggestions on which carrier and how did you do it? I have a maya wrap but found it difficult to nurse my daughter with it. Any tips to make it easier, did you find wearing a certain type of shirt was easier or any shirt worked?|||i would go with a sling. i have the bubba moe sling which is great for breast feeding and is very discreet. http://www.bubbamoe.com.au/
probably a top that is made from stretchy material would be best with a maternity bra underneath so all you have to do is unclip it. =]|||Maya Sling it has an extra long "tail" to throw over the baby for privacy.
Not sure about the shirts, but if you go into a store like motherhood I am sure they can give you pointers and they probably have something you would like.|||I often wore v-necked shirts in stretchy fabrics, to make nursing and babywearing work well. You can also choose a button down shirt.
As for carriers, I have nursed VERY easily in both my Moby and my mei tai. I am going to try doing it in my ring sling and pouch sling as well, when baby #2 arrives! :)|||Slings are usually best for breastfeeding. There are a lot to choose from. You have to do your own research to see which one you find most comfortable.
